Pink House • cast
ZACK WARD as Murray McCauley
Zack brings an impressive resumé, incredible energy and high visibility to our project. Currently, Zack can be seen on Fox's edgy hit sitcom Titus. Zack plays Dave, the brother of comedian Chris Titus, in this "'All in the Family' for the millennium" about a non-traditional dysfunctional family. Zack already has several films and TV shows under his belt; most recently, he starred as Red Dog in Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous with UNC's Billy Crudup and Oscar-winner Kate Hudson. Other films include Civility, Ed, and Wild America. His career began with the role of the bully Scut Fargus in the beloved film favorite A Christmas Story.
HEATHER MATARAZZO as Charlotte Maddox
The talented Heather Matarazzo plays brilliant and evil sorority president Charlotte. Heather's infallible portrayal of the graceless and prickly Dawn Weiner in Todd Solondz's Welcome to the Dollhouse won the young actress the Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut and made "Weinerdog" a household word.
Born in 1982 and raised on the East Coast, Heather began her career with appearances on Nickelodeon's The Adventures of Pete and Pete before her film debut in "Dollhouse." Appearing in numerous critically praised independent films since then, she seems at her best in roles of bravely defiant yet awkward characters. She was a favorite in the hit Scream 3 and was featured alongside Julie Andrews in Disney's #1 smash The Princess Diaries. She was most recently seen on Broadway in the revival of Clare Booth Luce's The Women.
FRED WELLER as Young Pritchard
Currently seen on movie screens across America in Patrick Stettner's The Business of Strangers (with Julia Stiles and Stockard Channing), Fred reaches back in time to play the crafty, rich Pritchard in the 1920s sequences of The Pink House. On ABC, Fred won critical raves as Brian Wilson in the network's original movie The Beach Boys: An American Family. One of New York's finest up-and-coming actors, he is currently filming the motion picture version of Neil LaBute's Broadway hit The Shape of Things with Paul Rudd, Gretchen Mol and Rachel Weisz. Fred graduated from the University of North Carolina.
PILAR PUNZANO as Zola Alamasio
Spain's hottest young actress claims The Pink House as her first American movie, giving our project a strong foothold in Europe. Pilar has exploded in the last year with the Spanish hit film Love, Curiosity, Prozac And Doubt--you can't walk the streets of Madrid without seeing her face on the covers of all the favorite style magazines. Her next release will be Aitor Gaizka's April and Jules.
MATT DAWSON as Scott Bernstein
Matthew has had leading roles in several independent films, including Climax, Crooked, and Alexandra Brodsky's acclaimed short, Didactic Encounter. On the New York stage he played Tim, the dim-witted half-brother, in the Off-Broadway hit Joe Fearless, and he originated the role of Terry in the initial workshop production of Kenneth Lonergan's You Can Count on Me. He has also worked with such theater companies as Naked Angels, New York Stage & Film, Ensemble Studio Theater, Atlantic Theater Co. and The New Group, and has appeared on NBC's Third Watch.
OMAR SCROGGINS as N'Wal Wright
Renaissance man Omar Scroggins has been a regular on Law & Order since 1994. He has worked with some of the finest film directors as well: Martin Scorcese in Bringing Out the Dead, Paul Mazursky in Faithless, and Spike Lee in Crooklyn. His debut album--as rapper Bravo--is due to hit the streets in late 2002.
NATANE BOUDREAU as Windy and Chloe
Natane is making her film debut with us in dual roles. As the ethereal, peculiar Pink House resident Windy--and as the strongwilled, artistic Chloe from the 1920s--she provides a metaphorical and mysterious link between Pink House past and present. You may have seen her (as Natane Adcock) on the cover of Vogue; in national ads for Chanel and Gucci; on the catwalk for Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Gianni Versace, and Ralph Lauren; or most recently as the face of Banana Republic's national print ads. She is the founder and director of Beyond the Box, a program that uses the dramatic arts to help kids with learning disabilities.
SEAN WYLDE as Young Oxford
Sean has spent the last ten years as a theater gypsy before bringing his talents to the role of Young Oxford in this, his first feature film. He has worked in Los Angeles, New York City, Korea, and Russia playing characters from Willy Wonka to Judas, while he was also building an impressive resume as a producer and director. Gideon Theater finally lured Sean to New York where he has originated roles in Dirty Juanita and The Second String. He studied acting at both the University of Iowa and the University of North Carolina.
