The Squirrel Nut Zippers

The Squirrel Nut Zippers jam at the Pink House.

The Squirrel Nut Zippers have been forging their own North Carolina-infused swing music since 1993. "The Inevitable Squirrel Nut Zippers," released in 1995, became the must-have album of the great Swing revival. Lead singers Jimbo Mathus and Katharine Whalen struck gold with the MTV hit "Hell" off their bestselling album "Hot." Their most recent release is "Bedlam Ballroom." We are thrilled to have Squirrel Nut playing live in what is almost certainly their reincarnated past: a party at the Pink House in 1929.

Hobex

Hobex take a rest on the stairs.

Hobex is singer-songwriter Greg Humphreys' definitive take on effortless dance and soul. Formerly the frontman for North Carolina legend Dillon Fence, Humphreys' new Hobex album "U Ready, Man?" will be released mid-2002, produced by Ben Folds Five's Robert Sledge.
